What is the purpose of a Rest Day?
The entire purpose of a rest day is to recover. The goal is for the next time you walk into the gym to be more prepared to hit it hard than you were the previous training days.
There are several things an athlete should be focusing on to maximize their recovery during a rest day.
We have put these items into a checklist which you can save to your phone or print out and put on your fridge.
Checking off each of these items will help you ensure the next time you have a hard session you are productive and moving the needle in the right direction.
